I’ve got 2 Corolla’s both with a 5M, a 94 & an 09 & they both run about 3K rpm’s @ 70 mph. I feel lost not having to make a trip to the gas pump every three days haha I’ll post some pictures probably on my day off tomorrow. I am pretty sure they can answer questions for you like the one you have. If you dont find the answer here, why not just pick up your phone and dial your dealership.

Most of the time, the fuel computer is 2 MPG high. 24mpgUS is not far off the mark…considering driving style and the car hasn’t broken-in yet, you are on you way to getting the EPA estimates. Based on reading other forums, the corolla mpg computer is actually pretty accurate. Also, the computer readout can be off by a bit. To get an accurate reading for a tank, you’d have to do the reset right after a fill up. It wont reset just because you refilled.

I’d say if it aint the alignment, suspension, or tires, i’d get a second opinion from another shop. It took a tiny bit of modification but stiffened things casino adrian up quite a bit. A while back I replaced the steering rack bushings with a set of energy suspension bushings for a Celica. I wanted to give it a good week of driving to be sure.
